three knowledge sources, the three-fold analysis, the three criteria for validating a phenomenon.

The three-fold analysis; the three criteria for validating a phenomenon. 1. མཐོང་བ་མངོན་འགྱུར་ལ་མངོན་སུམ་ཚད་མས་གནོད་པ་མེད་པ། obvious things are not contradicted by valid bare perception 2. ཅུང་ཟད་ལྐོག་གྱུར་ལ་རྗེས་དཔག་ཚད་མས་གནོད་པ་མེད་པ། slightly obscure things are not contradicted by valid inference based on the force of evidence 3. ཤིན་ཏུ་ལྐོག་གྱུར་ལ་ལུང་ཚད་མས་གནོད་པ་མེད་པ། extremely obscure things are not contradicted by valid inference based on scriptural authority. [TSR]
