Distate; abhorred
[Counselling yourself with thirteen teachings on things to be regarded with distaste.] A literal translation might be appropriate here.[Son, there are thirteen things to be abhorred.] The Tibetan word zhen log indicates a feeling of disgust or aversion, feeling sick of or fed up with something, a distinct lack of desire, such as that felt by a jaundiced patient presented with greasy food. The words from which it is derived in Tibetan signify simply “the opposite of attachment.” [ZT, 2006, translator's notes]
