Four unwholesome deeds. These are: (I) intentionally deceiving or lying to someone who is worthy ofvenera- tion, such as the teacher or abbot; (2) with a negative attitude, regretting or causing someone to regret an action that is actually positive in nature; (3) blatantly disrespecting, by verbal criticism or negative thoughts, a Bodhisattva or a spiritual practitioner who possesses the bodhichitta; and (4) deceiving sentient beings through negative behavior.
