Uma negação implicativa é uma negação na qual está implícita a possibilidade de outro valor (positivo). Por exemplo, na afirmação "Não é um gato que está no telhado", a presença de um gato é negada, porém de forma a sugerir que existe algo mais. Isto é comparado com um "negação não implicativa" (med dgag), que simplesmente nega sem qualquer outra implicação, por exemplo, na afirmação "Não há nada no telhado". Baseado em [TPQ]

An affirming negative is a negation in which the possibility of another (positive) value is implied.
