A small hand-drum consisting of two bowl-shaped drums fixed back to back, with a double thong acting as the beater when the drum is twisted rapidly back and forth. Damarus are sometimes constructed from the tops of two skulls and therefore described as “skull-drums.” [TLWF, 2011] [GWPT, 2004]
